ACTIVITY 5-3: CREATE YOUR INQUIRY-BASED ACTIVITY

In Activity 5-3 you apply the design principles you analyzed in Activity 5-2 to create your inquiry-based activity. Use your responses to the guiding questions so that your design reflects the research-supported best practices in inquiry-based learning.

Deliverable 5-3: Description of Your Inquiry-based Activity

Identify which strategies you will apply in your design and describe how they will be implemented in your inquiry-based activity. The submitted document should:

  • Describe your inquiry-based activity.

  • Detail the way the activity should be implemented in a classroom setting.

  • Incorporate the design principles you identified in activity 5-2.

  • Be approximately 300-400 words.

Post your completed design principle guiding questions outline and description of your inquiry-based activity to the discussion board. Your facilitator will review your document and provide feedback.

Return to step 5 for debriefing.
